Terms of Service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Next Chapter. By creating an account you agree to them. Structure follows Termly-style SaaS terms adapted to this product (ADR-016).
Acknowledgment
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Next Chapter. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Your account
You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
What Next Chapter does — and doesn't
Next Chapter helps you find and evaluate job openings, improve your materials, and track applications. Match scores are estimates to help you prioritize; they are not a promise of an interview or an offer.
Job listings come from employers and public job sources. We link to the original posting and do not guarantee that a listing is accurate or still open.
AI suggestions can be wrong. Review anything before you use it, and only submit information that is true.
Plans, billing, tax and cancellation
Next Chapter offers a free plan and paid plans billed weekly, monthly or quarterly at the prices shown at checkout (ADR-004). Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.
Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated by Stripe Tax from your billing address at checkout (ADR-016). Prices shown before address entry may exclude tax.
You can cancel any time in Settings → Plan; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.
Refunds: within seven (7) days of your first paid charge on a new subscription, you may request a refund via Contact / support. After that window, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Chargebacks may result in account review.
Auto-apply assist
If you enable auto-apply assist and confirm a queued role, we record the employer application URL and track status. We do not evade CAPTCHAs, impersonate you on third-party sites without authorization, or invent qualifications.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no false information in applications, no unauthorized scraping, no attempts to break security, and no harassment of employers or other users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence say otherwise.
Your content
You own your resume and documents. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for hiring decisions made by employers. Final limitation-of-liability and governing-law terms will be set by counsel before launch.
Changes and contact
We will notify you of material changes before they take effect. Questions? Use the Contact page.
