How Next Chapter Uses AI
Last updated October 22, 2026
AI helps Next Chapter find relevant jobs and improve your materials. Here is what it does, what it doesn't, and how you stay in control.
You decide
AI runs on your information only if you turn on the “Use AI on my information” permission. It is off by default, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
What AI does
Reads your resume to understand your skills and experience, compares it with job postings, and suggests improvements or a tailored version for a specific role.
Rewritten resumes are always saved as a new version. Your original is never overwritten, and nothing is sent to an employer unless you choose to apply.
How to read our scores
A fit estimate shows how closely a role matches what you told us and what is in your resume, with the reasons behind it. It is not a prediction of whether you will be hired. We will not show hiring probabilities unless they are proven accurate.
Your data and our AI providers
We send only the information needed for a task. Our AI providers are contractually barred from using your data to train their models.
Mistakes and feedback
AI can be wrong or miss context. Review suggestions before using them, and tell us through the Contact page when something looks off.
